Frequently Asked Questions

Is PDFCamel's PDF editor really free?

Yes, completely free. No sign-up, no credit card, no hidden fees. All editing tools are available at no cost.

Is my PDF file secure?

Your file is processed locally in your browser using pdf-lib. Your document is never uploaded to or stored on our servers.

Can I edit text that already exists in the PDF?

The current editor lets you add new text on top of existing content. To edit original PDF text, you would need a full PDF editing application. However, you can use the Whiteout tool to cover existing text and then add new text on top.

Why does my text position look slightly different after downloading?

There may be very minor positioning differences due to font rendering differences between the browser and PDF engines. For best results, zoom in before placing text and verify the position in the preview.

Can I edit multiple pages?

Yes! Use the ◀ ▶ navigation buttons in the top bar to switch between pages and add annotations to any page before saving.
